<h1>Winner of Public Choice Award</h1>
From April 8 to 10, 2025, Valeo took part in Rematec, the world's largest automotive remanufacturing exhibition, held at RAI Amsterdam, Netherlands.
In addition to launching new parts, Valeo won the Public Choice Award for Best Reman, after emerging as the clear winner with a total of 2,057 votes.
The public’s choice award was fully supported by the 2025 Rematec jury, who recognized Valeo as both “a major automotive parts manufacturer and a key player in the aftermarket.” 
 
<h2>Partnering with Industry Leaders on New Products</h2>
Valeo is now extending its offer to include the remanufacturing of high voltage and electronic parts. 
During the week, Valeo presented what is one of the largest ranges of remanufactured products on the market. This included launching three new high-tech reman parts:
In collaboration with Stellantis, Valeo is launching in the first semester of 2025 a remanufactured LED headlamp—the first of its kind from Valeo—along with a display screen developed at Valeo’s Circular Electronics Lab in Nevers, France.
Partnering with The Remakers, Valeo will launch in the second half of 2025 a brand new remanufactured inverter for the Renault Zoe.
Remanufacturing innovations such as these align with a new era of increased electronics in modern vehicles. 
In 2024, Valeo also launched on the independent aftermarket a reman pneumatic concentric actuator for commercial vehicles, and in 2025, Valeo will be launching the DQ250 Double Wet Clutch (DWC) covering millions of vehicles.
 
<h2>Valeo Reman, Good to Better Preserve Resources</h2>
Reman is one of Valeo's key circular initiatives for the aftermarket, and is part of the 'I Care for the Planet' program—Valeo’s commitment to progressively reducing the environmental impact of the automotive aftermarket.
By reusing materials, Valeo’s remanufacturing limits new resource extraction and industrial waste. 
At Valeo, remanufactured products include up to 80% of reused materials. With 55 million tonnes of electronic waste generated every year, discarding electronic and electrical parts because of a single faulty component is both wasteful and environmentally unsustainable.

By 2030, 93% of all new cars will include a form of electrification and one-third of the European car parc will consist of electrified vehicles (either fully electric or hybrid).
 
This is good news. Electrification is emerging as the most viable, affordable, and energy-efficient solution to reducing the carbon footprint of the automotive industry, which currently stands at about 18% of global CO2 emissions.

According to Frost &amp; Sullivan’s report “European PHEV/BEV Aftermarket Growth Opportunities”, by 2030, 84% of vehicles made in Europe will be electrified and heading towards either 48V or fully electric.

While combustion engines are noisy and a bumpy ride, drivers of electric vehicles are able to get the exact driving experience everyone longs for—silent and comfortable. <h2>A New Year’s Resolution</h2>
In the EU, where heavy duty commercial vehicles account for almost 80% of land freight transport – equal to almost 25% of the transport sector’s CO2 emissions – it’s more important than ever to find ways to cut waste and emissions.
From 1st of January, 2024, Valeo is implementing its core deposit scheme for Reman CV Clutch Kits in Europe. This comes as part of Valeo’s wider goal of accelerating the circular economy and thereby consuming as few new raw materials as possible.

Fully optimizing the consumption of resources is an automotive aim in which Valeo is not alone. The whole road freight industry, from manufacturers to haulers, is committed to a more sustainable transport system.
Remanufacturing is one of the central pillars of Valeo’s 4R strategy, along with Recycle, Repair, and Robust design. It is also an integral part of Valeo’s multifaceted approach to sustainability: I Care 4 the Planet.
The core deposit scheme falls into both sustainability approaches and has simplicity at its core. The aim is to recover as many CV clutch kit cores from the market as possible in order to fuel Valeo’s remanufacturing production lines.
In a nutshell, the core deposit is a simple circular exchange system:

Valeo’s CV core deposit system has been made to be simply understood, with only 3 core bands (T, U, V) and 2 different costs (100€ or 200€), as in the table below:

<h2>Reverse Logistics System</h2>
Using a reverse logistics system that is quick and seamless, Valeo makes things easy for distributors, with a quick four week turnaround from collection pick-up to sorting report.
All that workshops need to do once the repair is completed is recover the cores, place them in the Valeo box, and then send them back to the distributor. The distributor stores them in a safe and dry place while Valeo ensures the reverse logistics from the collection of the cores to the deposit refund for all accepted cores.

To get the ball rolling along the distribution chain, Valeo is implementing an extensive support plan, augmented by a massive promotional programme during the first semester of 2024.

	<li aria-level="1">Valeo Ineez™ Air Charging: For the first time, Valeo presented its wireless charging solution, the first and only one to use an ultra low operating frequency, around 3kHz, offering a lighter, simpler, and safer charging experience.</li>
	<li aria-level="1">Zeekr x Valeo: The latest Zeekr model was also presented at Valeo’s booths. Equipped with a 15 mm high Valeo Thinbilite bifunction front lighting module and two digital panels comprising more than 1,700 LEDs, it offers users a unique, personalized and interactive lighting experience and redefines the rules of electric vehicle design.</li>
	<li aria-level="1">Valeo x BMW: Valeo presented its solution for teleoperation from a cockpit with high reliability. Visitors were able to drive a BMW Series iX located on the BMW booth while remaining at Valeo’s booth.</li>

The ProDays trade show is a key event for the French bicycle industry, providing a unique opportunity for brands as well as independent and chain shops to meet and exchange ideas.

<h2>A BRIGHTER FUTURE</h2>
It is no secret that the automotive world is undergoing a major electric revolution – and Valeo sits at the very heart of it.
To reduce its carbon footprint, the European parc is being electrified through multiple initiatives – and by 2030, more than 30% of vehicles on the road are set to be electrified.
Many opportunities will appear in the aftermarket. New spare parts will be equipped in Hybrid and Electric vehicles, and a challenge such as accessing parts is going to be a top priority for actors working in the IAM.
The two domains that will be most impacted by electrification are Powertrain and Thermal Management. Valeo has already made huge advancements in both areas.
<ol><li>With the aim of providing more sustainable mobility solutions for the drivers of tomorrow, Automotive Powertrains are being completely overhauled. Valeo’s recent acquisition of Siemens eAutomotive has strengthened its position as the world leader in electrification. Valeo boasts a full range of low and high voltage electric powertrain solutions.</li>
	<li>In brand new vehicles, Thermal Management Systems control the temperature of both the cabin and the battery. 
	Once again, Valeo is an OE leader thanks to innovative thermal solutions invented for ICE, Hybrid, and Electric vehicles. Correctly functioning thermal management systems of electric and hybrid vehicles are essential in ensuring High Voltage Components function safely. This happens by cooling or heating High Voltage components, but also by ensuring that High Voltage batteries maintain an optimal temperature range – and with it, have a longer lifetime.</li>
</ol>By offering the aftermarket these new technologies for electrified vehicles, Valeo is helping steer the ongoing electric revolution. This strategy began in 2020, with the launch of the iBSG (Integrated Belt-driven Starter Generator) for Mild Hybrid Technologies, which was the very first one on the market.
This was soon followed in 2022 by the introduction of the DWC DMFs – technology that was recognized as hugely innovative in helping reduce the noise, vibration, and harshness associated with the start-stop mechanism of hybrid vehicles.
The most recent aftermarket innovation in electrification involves the launch of electric compressors — which are one of the key products in thermal management systems. 
By the end of 2023, Valeo will be launching new High Voltage components, including powertrain products such as inverters, OBCs (On Board Chargers), and eDrives. Thermal Management components that ensure the correct functioning of the battery (with chillers and battery blowers) will also be launched.
In addition to new product launches, Valeo offers a technical support program that includes fitting instructions, live training sessions, webinars, interactive presentations, and videos from the Valeo Tech@ssist free Online Technical web platform. This is available in more than eight languages.
Valeo is committed to the active development of its portfolio for Hybrid and Electric vehicles, including traditional and new product technologies. Valeo has already developed 4,500 maintenance parts.
The ambition is to reach 6,000 parts by the end of 2023.

<h2>Remanufacturing is a great Way 4ward</h2>
An important factor in reducing the automotive aftermarket’s impact on the environment is in creating a more sustainable product portfolio. A remaining product reuses, on average, 80% of the material, and according to life-cycle analysis, reduces carbon footprint on average by 50 to 80% in comparison with a new product.
In line with the aim to reach Carbon Neutrality by 2050, Valeo Service has ramped up its efforts in the Reman sector. As of November 2022, Valeo Service had 8,186 references in its European portfolio and, in 2023, will continue launching 500+ references on existing product families. On top of this, new and more technical product families will be released onto the market including the e-compressor, e-drive, and torque convertors, which will sit alongside traditional product categories such as clutches, starters &amp; alternators, and compressors.
<h2>Spreading the Word 
 </h2>
Launching new references alone, however, is of course not enough.
 
In 2022, in collaboration with their partners, Valeo Service used digital training sessions to successfully teach more than 100,000 automotive industry professionals. These sessions covered pure electrification topics (mild-hybrid technologies and “Basic” level of full electrification), EV associated products (such as Dual Dry Clutches, Dual Wet Clutches, and torque converters), and Reman. 
 
What’s more, Valeo Service has made identifying the Reman alternative for each truck clutch kit simpler than ever before, thanks to its digital tool, “<a href="https://www.valeoservice.in/en-in/clutch-kit-finder">Truck Clutch kit finder</a>”. Frost &amp; Sullivan awarded it the title of European New Product Innovation in 2022.
<h2>Packaged 4 the Future</h2>
The next area of attention I Care 4 the Planet will focus on is the eradication of plastics and the reduction of ink consumption in packaging. These efforts go hand-in-hand with the increasing use of recycled materials, utilizing biodegradable materials, and of course, reducing the amount of packaging used in the first place.

The final area I Care 4 the Planet has identified as crucial, going forwards, is that of logistics. Logistics naturally plays an important role in ensuring that goods and services reach customers in a timely and cost-effective manner. But a modern logistics system must also take the environment into account.
 
First, Valeo Service puts high attention on producing as close as possible to the markets where the products are distributed. In addition, Valeo Service is looking at reducing carbon emissions by developing direct deliveries to customers so as to avoid intermediate steps along the way. This approach is completed by supporting the Reforest Action association: Valeo Service plants a tree for each ton of direct delivery, helping to create a virtuous logistics distribution flow.
 
This being said, Valeo Servicing isn’t forgetting the small things and also plans to optimize transportation fill rates by consolidating shipments and improving the stackability of products. All of which will greatly reduce tons of CO2 emissions.

The positive effects of Valeo Aquablade™ on driver reaction times really can’t be overstated. After more than 5,500 tests in real driving conditions, performed with Fraunhofer Institute IOSB, the results discovered were excellent.
 
Drivers using Valeo’s AquaBlade™ reacted 315 milliseconds sooner than those using traditional nozzles. And while in urban environments (at 50 km/h), a braking distance of 4 meters was saved, on the motorway (at 130km/h), a huge 11 meters of braking distance was saved. Such distances are often the difference between avoiding a dangerous incident or not.

Grease is required for lubrication of moving, rotating and articulating parts in every automobile to prevent abnormal wear and tear and also ensures there is smooth sliding of the clutch disc on the main drive shaft.  It helps in increasing the overall life of spares.

Always use the correct, high temperature grease suitable for use in clutch environments!
Most of the Valeo clutch kits comes with  a sachet of grease. If the sachet of grease is not available in the packaging use only a high pressure, high temperature grease, such as BR2 type grease
Copper based grease is unsuitable for use due to its low viscosity and melting temperatures.
 
Usage of incorrect amount of grease
Only a thin coating of grease is required. The parts require lubrication.

DO NOT APPLY GREASE DIRECTLY TO THE SPLINES ON THE DRIVE PLATE HUB. The grease will be pushed out from the splines during installation of the input shaft allowing it to accumulate on the outside of the hub.

pilot bearing or bushing.

Windshield wipers are a small part of your car, but they make a big impact on your driving and overall safety. They can remove rain, snow, dirt, pollen, frost and other debris quickly and smoothly at the push of a button.

Windshield wipers are your ticket to clear vision out on the road and often we don’t give them the attention they deserve, waiting for a failure to consider what could be done to ensure longevity. 
There are some common problems with wipers which need to be addressed.
1.Unclear windshield - This could be because of the hardness of the wipers.Wipers are made of soft rubber and over time the rubber gets hardened.This hardened rubber will be brittle and stiff and will not help in cleaning the windshield.
2.Smearing or Shuttering - If your blades are smearing or shuttering, it’s likely your <a href="https://www.valeoservice.in/en-in/passenger-car/car-wiper-blades">wipe</a>r blades are torn, cracked or deteriorating in some fashion. Brittle or damaged blades will be unable to clean your windows to an adequate level.
3.Water Beads - Beading water traditionally means it’s easier to clear than normal, although if water is beading and not being removed by wipers it’s due to a buildup of oil and residue that wipers are unable to adequately clear. In order to negate this issue, regularly clean both your windscreen and wipers, removing the dirt and residue that builds up over time.
4.Wiper Arms are loose-If your wiper arms are loose it is likely that the pivot nuts are loose. Wiper pivot nuts are the small nut that ensures the wiper arm is tightly connected.

The Jeep Compass was unveiled in India on 12 April 2017 and assembled in the FCA India Pune plant from 1 July 2017. In addition to manufacturing for the Indian market, Jeep also exports the Indian-made Compass to many right-hand drive markets such as the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Brunei, Japan, Indonesia, Nepal, and Thailand. <h2 style="margin-bottom: 11px;">Why is self Adjusting Technology required (S.A.T.)</h2>
 
A clutch is the interface between the engine and the gearbox, enabling the interruption of torque transfer for gear change. When the clutch is engaged, the full engine torque is transmitted to the gearbox input shaft. The clutch disc is located between the pressure plate of the cover and the flywheel. In the engaged position the two facings are squeezed between these two friction surfaces so that the facing on one side of the clutch disc is in contact with the flywheel friction surface and the facing on the other side is in contact with the cover pressure plate.
Despite different qualities and technologies, these facings are subject to wear over time. Due to the loss of thickness of the facings, the pressure plate moves towards the flywheel, and the diaphragm in contact with the pressure plate changes angle Accordingly.
The actuation force that needs to be applied to the cover via the clutch pedal increases. As a result the pedal effort for the driver becomes greater.
The same pedal effort can be maintained throughout the entire clutch life thanks to the Self Adjusting Technology (S.A.T.). The constant pedal effort is obtained by increasing the effective thickness of the pressure plate. Valeo has been producing S.A.T. clutches for car
manufacturers since the year 2000.

A/C systems were soon incorporated into automobiles, which allowed families to commute and embark on vacations in greater comfort because temperatures inside of passenger compartments could now be lowered by at least 20° from the outdoor weather. So what does a car’s air compressor do? The air compressor makes the whole A/C process possible in vehicles.
 
<h2>How Does the Air Compressor Cool Your Car?</h2>
When the temperatures start to rise along the highways and congested roads, there’s nothing more refreshing than the cool blast of air conditioning from the vents of a car, truck or van. In the heat of 85°-plus temperatures, that icy A/C breeze can feel like the ultimate relief from the virtual oven outside.
Despite the cool feeling, however, there’s no actual ice involved in the A/C process. Those icy gusts you’re experiencing are actually the result of hot gases being removed from the humid air. It’s a multi-step, thermodynamic process that’s all made possible by the power of air compression.
Whether you’re the driver or a passenger, you take control of the car’s air compressor the moment you push the A/C button. By doing so, you’ve activated the compressor to compress and hike the temperature of the refrigerant. After activation, the refrigerant is then sent through the condenser, where the heat is lost. Next, the refrigerant goes through the dryer and is purified of contaminants. Once purified, the refrigerant is stripped of its pressure after it passes through the expansion valve. The final step is traveling through the evaporator inside the dashboard, and the refrigerant is rendered super cold and moisture free. The gusts of cold air you feel are the result of the motor’s blower pumping air through this newly cold refrigerant and out through the blowers.

While it’s hard to determine the amount of time a given car part will function to its maximum abilities, certain factors might indicate the likely lifespan of an A/C air compressor. The foremost factor is the vehicle’s age. While new vehicles tend to be equipped with more durable compressors, the toll of mileage can affect any of the internal parts. If the compressor bears repeated undue stress over time, it could slowly lose its ability to send cool air into the passenger compartment.
While the A/C compressor can benefit from the relative lack of wear during winter months, it can also stagnate if left to hibernate during this time. Therefore, it’s best to activate the A/C for at least 10 minutes every 30 days between November and February to ensure it doesn’t take a permanent rest. Granted, the functions in question here are not limited to the A/C in all vehicles. In some cars, the compressor is also utilized to offer heat and ventilation, both of which tend to be used primarily between late fall and early spring.
<h2>How Often Should an AC compressor Undergo Maintenance?</h2>
The litmus test for a working A/C system is whether or not it keeps you and your passengers sufficiently cool when it’s hot outside. If a few minutes of breeze actually makes your car feel too cold — despite temperatures of 95° or more outside — then your A/C isn’t due for maintenance and probably won’t be for the foreseeable future. As the saying goes, if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it — the money can be saved or allocated to other areas of car repair.
So when should you take your vehicle in for A/C maintenance? If coldness is either slight or nonexistent in the air coming through the vents, it’s likely due to problems with the system. Depending on the extent of the problem, you’ll either need a recharge or an outright replacement of the A/C air compressor. For most cars, a recharge is needed every few years, but replacements can be avoided for the average span of ownership of most vehicles as long as due care is taken for the A/C system.
In any case, when your vehicle’s A/C starts to lag, it’s time for an inspection. Considering the high-pressure functions that a compressor must perform in order to provide cooled air, the circuitry is complex and maintenance is usually best performed by skilled technicians.
<h2>What Is the Key Fluid in an A/C System?</h2>
If your A/C fails to deliver the coolness levels you’ve come to expect, it’s likely down to a low supply of refrigerant — the fluid that makes cold air from hot air. What exactly are the elements that comprise this fluid? For that, a bit of history is in order.
Traditionally referred to by the antiquated DuPont trademark Freon, refrigerant comes in three forms that have appeared in succession since the dawn of air conditioning: R-12, R-134A and HFO-1234yf. Much like oil and antifreeze, refrigerant is one of the fluids that facilitates a vital function in most vehicles.
Technically, the only actual Freon was R-11, which was one of the most common chlorofluorocarbon (CFM) fluids in use up until 1996, when CFM was banned in the United States due to its impact on the ozone. Subsequently, automakers replaced R-11 with the non-CFM fluid R-134A, which scientists developed as a somewhat eco-friendlier though still chemically-laden refrigerant. In 2013, however, the auto industry initiated another change, this time to HFO-1234yf, which is believed to be the most environmentally sound refrigerant yet conceived. With this latest development, cars pose a smaller environmental threat in cases where the refrigerant leaks.
